This is a hint for the game White House Escape. Please be warned, the following hint gives information that could be considered a spoiler. For this reason, we would like to caution you about reading the hint unless you are certain that you want to proceed with knowing the information contained herein.
The stairs are blocked by the bad guys, and that pretty much leaves the elevator as the only means of leaving the first floor. Unfortunately, the elevator requires a code in order to operate it, and you do not have that code. But the code is at your disposal, although getting it might require a bit of effort.
The code is on the partially burned paper note from the fireplace in the first floor Blue Room. You must unlock the fireplace cover in order to get the note. Once you open the fireplace, get the note.
Once you have the note, simply use it with the keypad beside the elevator. From that point on the elevator will be open for you to use
