This is a hint for the game Raving Manor. Please be warned,the following hint gives information that could be considered aspoiler. For this reason, we would like to caution you about reading the hint unless you are certain that you want to proceed with knowing the information contained herein.
Apparently someone has made a hasty retreat, and headed down for the basement. They locked the door behind them, and in the rush left the key in the lock. Luckily for you the basement door still has the key in the lock. Unfortunately, this also means that the key has to be removed from the other side. How would you do that?
Well, the keyhole would allow you to poke the key out, but you need something for it to fall on when it hits the ground on the other side. Then you could possibly pull back said something from under the door to retrieve the key. You would need something flat and wide that you could slide under the door.
As for poking the key out through the keyhole, you will need something a bit long, skinny, and pointed. Surely there is something like that lying about the manor. Well, lying about is probably not the correct term...
